Projects

Welcome to my Projects - a showcase of illustrations that highlight my approach to bold colour, clean lines, and narrative-driven design.

Each project begins with an idea and is an opportunity to explore different themes, from anthropomorphism to magical realism, while pushing my creativity and technique. here you'll find both personal and commissioned projects, each crafted with care and a strong emphasis on storytelling.

I believe illustration has the power to connect, spark curiosity, and leave a lasting impression - and I'm excited to see where the next idea will lead.

Library mural concept

superimposed.jpg

My concept for this project was to bring young people back into the library and get them excited in reading again in a digital age public spaces like library are slowly losing appeal and popularity. This is contributed to a lot of factors, the digital age taking over, the way usage is changing, funding and the library not being a go to place for community.

With white washed walls my thought was that if the library was more inviting then more young people would want to visit their local library.

The inspiration for this mural was to explore mew worlds through books, taking the genie in the bottle idea and applying it to books where new worlds spill out. Mixing space, margin animals and and anthropomorphism to create a magical realism world where anything is possible.

LGBTQ+ Pride Project

Exploring identity with a whimsical series of portraits featuring surreal and imaginative anthropomorphic animal-human hybrids, each with its own unique and captivating characteristics. These anthropomorphic animal characters featured in their associated pride flag, coloured outfits, showcases the artistic representation of different animal species that people I questioned associated with their specific LGBTQ+ identities.
A fusion of human and animal elements in a visually enchanting and thought-provoking manner.

Lore Project

Focusing on the Pagan Sabbat, Imbolc, and the prompt word ritual, I designed a dragon using elements that represent the holiday, such as animals, flowers, and crystals. Initially created digitally with Photoshop and using Adobe Acrobat, I was able to transition my illustration into functional art as an altar cloth. It took a lot of exploration with different materials for the canvas, however, I finally landed on a natural, undyed heavy cotton. As seen in the image. Using a combination of acrylic paint, fabric paint, and flow improver medium, I was able to paint straight onto the unprepped fabric.

Below is a lint to view Lore Publication that I was featured in.

Work-life balance animation

I created this work-life balance animation, designed for social platforms to remind people that there needs to be a harmony in your life. Otherwise you will burn out and become stressed and unhappy. The balance will also boost your productivity and create a happier life.

I created this using Adobe creative cloud, specifically Photoshop door the drawing and timeline elements and Premier Pro for the sound and video transitions throughout.

Forestry England campaign project

I enjoyed contributing to this campaign, i was part of a group of creatives working on this project for Forestry England to encourage the public to get out and enjoy their local forests. the team included designers, photographers, videographers and many more. My role was to illustrate line drawings to overlay the other elements. I created these digitally using adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, creating vector images for the team to use without distortion.
